Our Fees
Transparent Charges
If you are looking for the lowest fee, then we are not for you. However, whilst we are not the cheapest, we are certainly not the most expensive. We seek to provide a quality expert, personal service for a fair cost.
It is very important to us that our fees are transparent and that clients do not receive any unexpected bills. We will explain the basis of fees prior to commencing any work and wherever possible provide you with a fixed quote.
As a guide our typical fees are detailed below, and we anticipate that the majority of our clients will be charged the illustrative amount. They may however vary depending on increased complexity or additional work, but you will always be kept informed.
Wills
We offer a fixed fee service for our professionally drafted Wills giving you great value together with peace of mind.
Our services include:

| Joint or Mirror Wills | £350 plus VAT |
| Codicil | £120 plus VAT |
| Family Will Trusts | £350 plus VAT |
The typical time scale for such work is between 2 and 4 weeks.
There is an optional charge to register wills with the The National Will Register of £20+VAT per will.
Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)
We similarly are able to offer you a fixed fee and excellent value packages in relation to your LPA.
| Single LPA – Either Finance and Property or Health and Welfare | £300 plus VAT |
| 2 x LPAs for one person – both Finance and Property and Health and Welfare | £450 plus VAT |
| 4 x LPAs for couples – LPA in Finance and Property and for Health and Welfare each | £725 plus VAT |
Please note that there is an additional Registration fee payable currently £82 in order to register each LPA with the Office of The Public Guardian.
The typical time scale for such work is between 3 and 5 weeks.
Administration of Estates (Probate) Fees
We offer fixed fee packages tailored to meet your individual needs whether it involves assisting up to obtaining the Grant of Probate or dealing with your entire matter.
Assistance up to the grant of probate
It maybe that you only require our assistance up to obtaining the grant and we can usually discuss this and agree a fixed fee for undertaking such work.Â
For a straightforward estate to assist to the point of obtaining the grant of probate our fees start from £750 plus vat and disbursements, for straightforward estates with assets below £325,000. Our fees increase for larger estates and additional complexity.
The typical time scale for such work is between 3 and 6 months.
Dealing with the entire matter – Obtaining the grant of Probate, dealing with Inheritance Tax and Administering the estate.
Generally, our fees for the administration of an estate are charged at 1.5% of the gross value of the estate plus disbursements.
An example, for an estate with total gross assets of £600,000 our fees will be £9,000 plus VAT.
The typical time scale for such work is between 6 and 12 months.
Recently the application fee to obtain the Grant of Probate has been increased to a standard £273.
Tax, Estate Planning and Other Work
Wherever possible we endeavour to provide a fixed fee quote prior to engagement. If we are unable to do so our fees are calculated on the following hourly basis:
Partner £235 plus VAT
Solicitor or qualified accountant £205 plus VAT
Support Staff £85 plus VAT
